A Warning and Hope for Today’s Youth

In a world increasingly marked by moral decay and spiritual blindness, the words of our Adorable Jesus in His Divine Appeals carry an urgent and serious message for young people. The youth are at the heart of a fierce spiritual battle, where the forces of evil, led by the Red Lucifer, seek to destroy their souls. This is not merely a metaphorical struggle; it is a grave reality, as Jesus reveals in Divine Appeal 268: “Violence and drugs have destroyed the youth. The Red Lucifer has taken possession of their hearts and instigates them to believe that My Eternal Father does not exist.” This lament reflects the profound crisis of faith and morality facing young people today.

The consequences of this spiritual void are vividly described in Divine Appeal 280: “Drugged and dishonest young girls on the streets like animals with no shame at all! Youth in perdition!” These words highlight the tragic loss of dignity and purpose among many of the younger generation. Their lives, which should be filled with hope and the light of Christ, are instead marked by shame, addiction, and despair. Jesus’ sorrow underscores the seriousness of this situation, reminding us that the salvation of these souls must be a priority for the Church and all who love Him.

Adding to the gravity of this crisis, Jesus reveals in Divine Appeal 272: “The sinning youth advance without a pause; thieves, kidnappings! Politicians have taken a mistaken road, dragging with them! Cruel fight!” Here, He draws attention to the broader societal factors that exacerbate the plight of the youth. Corruption, misguided leadership, and the breakdown of moral authority create an environment where sin flourishes unchecked. Young people are not only victims but also participants in this spiral of destruction, often without realizing the eternal consequences of their actions.

The seriousness of these Divine Appeals lies in their prophetic nature. Jesus warns that this path of destruction will lead to dire consequences for individuals and society at large: “Very soon I am going to put the whole world in its own casket” (Divine Appeal 280). This warning is not a threat but a plea for repentance and conversion. It is a call to recognize the urgency of returning to God, who is the source of all life and hope.

For young people, these Divine Appeals demand a radical reorientation of their lives. Jesus’ words challenge them to reject the lies of the Red Lucifer and embrace the truth of God’s love and mercy. It is a call to reclaim their identity as beloved children of God and to live lives of purity, integrity, and purpose. This transformation begins with faith—believing in the Eternal Father and recognizing that true freedom and happiness can only be found in Him.

These appeals are also a wake-up call for parents, educators, and leaders. The responsibility to guide the youth in the ways of faith and virtue cannot be ignored. Families must become domestic churches where prayer, love, and forgiveness are the foundation. The Church must continue its mission of catechizing and evangelizing the young, offering them the hope and joy of the Gospel.

We are reminded that this is a spiritual problem as much as a societal one by the gravity of Jesus' Divine Appeals. Now is the moment to take action, and the stakes are everlasting. As our Adorable Jesus speaks, let's listen to him and do everything in our power to lead young people back to the light of Christ. By means of prayer, selflessness, and unshakable faith, we can assist the young people in regaining their self-worth and accepting the life of grace that they have been called to.
