FIDELITY TO JESUS AMID DESECRATION

Divine Appeal Reflection - 209

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 209:  "Countless number abuse, ridicule and blaspheme Me in the Sacrament of My Love and other different ways. They cannot believe in Me. They only know the most deadly weapons. The dictators of the Earth including souls I entrusted souls. Truly infernal monsters, will destroy My Churches and Sacred tabernacles."

Our Adorable Jesus warns that these infernal forces threaten to disguise themselves with earthly powers to destroy His Churches and Sacred Tabernacles. Throughout history, destruction has always been an external sign of the spiritual warfare of rejecting His presence in the Eucharist and denying divine truth. Such acts are not only acts of destruction but also manifestations of a world that has turned its back on God. The Catechism reminds us that before Christ's full victory, the Church will endure persecutions while evil forces will try to silence the Gospel (cf. CCC 675). His fullness will abide forever in the world without opposition from any human powers, for He remains with His faithful until the end of time.

The desecration of churches and tabernacles reflects the hardness of hearts that no longer recognize the sacred. When faith is abandoned, societies descend into moral chaos, worshiping false idols of power and self-indulgence. St. John Chrysostom warned that those who despise the Eucharist ultimately lose their ability to discern truth, falling into deeper sin and destruction. The world, intoxicated by pride, seeks to eliminate all reminders of Christ’s presence, much like the persecutors of the early Church who tried to erase the faith through violence. But just as the blood of the martyrs became the seed of Christianity, the Church will always rise from the ashes of persecution, sustained by divine grace (cf. Mt 16:18).

In the face of such hostility, we are called to stand unwavering in our defense of Christ’s presence. Saints like Padre Pio and St. Maximilian Kolbe recognized that attacks on the Eucharist are Satan’s greatest strategy, for if faith in the Real Presence is lost, so too is the foundation of our spiritual life. We must respond with acts of reparation, Eucharistic adoration, and unwavering fidelity to the sacraments. As St. Athanasius urged during the Arian crisis, even when the Church seems abandoned and desecrated, we must cling to the truth, knowing that Christ will never forsake His own (cf. Heb 13:5).

Let us not be discouraged but rather strengthened by this divine appeal. Our Adorable Jesus calls us to be vigilant, to defend His presence with love and courage. With the continued threatening of His sacred tabernacles, He requires us to become living tabernacles, bringing His presence into the world through sacrifice and holiness. Knowing that no force of darkness can defeat the light of Christ, may we respond with unshakeable faith. He reigns, and His Church, though wounded, will always stand as a testament to His eternal victory.

Prayer

Our Adorable Jesus, we grieve the desecration of Your Churches and Sacred Tabernacles. In reparation, we offer You our love and fidelity. Strengthen us to defend Your presence with unwavering faith. May we be living tabernacles, shining with Your light, until the day of Your glorious triumph.

Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist, intercede for us.
