VIGILANCE AND REPENTANCE

Divine Appeal Reflection - 207

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 207: "I make My warnings known to you. A world Revolution is on the verge of exploding and no arm of mankind can stop it. This Revolution will make havoc to the nations. Never has it been in the history of mankind. The streets will be a bloodbath covered with corpses."

Our Adorable Jesus soberly warns us of a global revolution that is imminent and a period of extreme hardship that has never been experienced before. Instead of inciting dread, this revelation is intended to make people realize how urgently they need to change and turn from their sins. The Church's catechism teaches that the human heart, damaged by sin, is always fighting evil, and that society descends farther into darkness in the absence of genuine repentance (cf. CCC 407). Additionally, the Bible reminds us that sin leads to ruin since we shall reap what we sow (cf. Galatians 6:7).

Our Adorable Jesus urges us to rest on His love and hold fast to our faith, which is founded on prayer, in these dangerous times. Even though the world is about to end, He assures us that the soul that is rooted in Him will not be shaken. As stated in the catechism, true peace comes from a connection with God, and those who trust in the Lord will find strength even in the midst of chaos (cf. CCC 736). We need to constantly bring up our hearts to God in prayer, pleading for soul conversion and sin forgiveness.

Furthermore, Jesus' words urge us to recognize the spiritual warfare at hand. This revolution is an expression of the conflict between good and evil; it is not just political or social. The Bible cautions us that we are fighting the powers of evil rather than flesh and blood (cf. Ephesians 6:12). Our Adorable Jesus thirsts for souls and longs for us to bring Him those lost in sin, through both prayer and acts of reparation. Just as the catechism teaches that the Church intercedes for the salvation of all, so too must we become vessels of His mercy (cf. CCC 2634).

Let us, therefore, respond wholeheartedly to this Divine Appeal. It is an exhortation to grow closer to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and to comfort His wounded heart by giving our sacrifices in order to win the world over. We must be lighthouses, reflecting the mercy and hope of our Adorable Jesus, in the face of the impending storm. Knowing that His love will always win, may we accept His warnings with firm faith rather than with despair.

Prayer:

Our Adorable Jesus, Guardian of souls, pierce every heart with the sword of Your divine love. May Your Actual Presence in the Blessed Sacrament ignite souls with fervor for Your glory, break the bonds of sin, and inspire repentance in the lost.

Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist, intercede for us.
