Divine Appeal Reflection - 169
Today, consider in Divine Appeal 169: "When only one soul is lost it is eternally lost. By means of My Presence in the Blessed Sacrament repair whenever you see Me. I want mankind to repent otherwise it will cast down innumerable souls into perdition."
Our Adorable Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, invites us to participate in the great work of reparation through Eucharistic adoration. He lovingly calls us to repair for the offenses committed against His Sacred Presence (cf. Matthew 26:38). We join Him in His ceaseless offering of love to the Father in the stillness of adoration, comforting His Heart that has been wounded by sins committed by humanity and indifference. This act of reparation is not merely a duty but a profound privilege to stand with our Lord in His sacrificial love for the world.
The Blessed Sacrament is the source of grace that strengthens us to fulfill this call to reparation. In His Real Presence, our Adorable Jesus empowers us to intercede for souls and make amends for the many transgressions against His infinite goodness (cf. CCC 1380). As St. Peter Julian Eymard explains, Eucharistic adoration allows us to unite ourselves to the perpetual act of love that Jesus offers to the Father. This mystical union transforms our prayers and sacrifices into a powerful means of repairing the damage caused by sin and bringing grace to the world.
Reparation through adoration also deepens our relationship with our Adorable Jesus, who thirsts for our love and communion. By spending time in His Eucharistic Presence, we receive the strength to live lives of holiness, conforming our hearts to His divine will. This intimate encounter with Jesus not only heals and sanctifies us but also enables us to draw others to Him through the witness of our lives (cf. John 12:32). Each moment in adoration becomes a participation in the saving mission of Christ, who desires the salvation of all souls.
Our Adorable Jesus gives us the duty of being co-redeemers in His mission of salvation through this call to repair. Our Lady's mission, which always brings souls to her Son, is in line with the time we spend in adoration, praying and making sacrifices for the conversion of sinners (cf. CCC 964). As we gain strength and grace from His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament, let us generously answer to this divine appeal, accepting the honor of comforting His Heart and healing the wounds created by sin.
Prayer
Oh most Adorable Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, accept our humble act of reparation for the sins that wound Your Sacred Presence. Strengthen us to console Your Heart, draw sinners to repentance, and unite us to Your infinite love. May our adoration bring You endless glory.
Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist, intercede for us.
