DIVINE APPEAL 160

ON THE EUCHARIST:A DIVINE APPEAL

(Revelation to Sr Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist)

VOLUME 1

“The earth is crumbling.”

“My daughter, I speak to you. I am using you to warn souls before it
is too late. The earth is crumbling like quicksand. In the centre of My
Church more than ever satan is marching in order to get rid of all souls.
He stalks the world with fury maddening and capturing souls. I implore
you to speak to everyone even though they do not believe you. My
hand will be very severe with those priests who have abused Me
and do not believe in My words of Mercy to mankind.

It is satan’s hour to capture souls. Listen to My call of mercy to
this mankind. It is My great work of redemption. I will bring you
few beloved souls of mine who will help you in this work as I have
willed. Give My words to the small hosts. I need the desire to pray
for the appeasement of the wrath of My Eternal Father. Make My
merciful warning known to all and tell them I need them to be saved
from their sins which lead to perdition.”

“I bless you.”

“They shall put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them."
A reading from the Book of Numbers (Numbers 6:22-27)

The Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron and his sons, thus you shall bless the sons of Israel: you shall say to them, The LORD bless you and keep you: The LORD make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you: The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. “So shall they put my name upon the sons of Israel, and I will bless them.”

The word of the Lord

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 67:2-3, 5-6 and 8

R/. O God, be gracious and bless us.

O God, be gracious and bless us
and let your face shed its light upon us.
So will your ways be known upon earth and
all nations learn your salvation. R/.

Let the nations be glad and shout for joy,
with uprightness you rule the peoples;

SECOND READING
“God sent forth his Son, born of a woman.”
A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Galatians (Galatians 4: 4-7)

Brethren: When the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So through God you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son then an heir.
The word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Hebrews 1:1-2

Alleluia.

In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son.

Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“They found Mary and Joseph, and the baby. . And at the end of eight days, he was called Jesus.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Luke 2: 16-21)

At that time: The shepherds went with haste to Bethlehem, and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it they made known the saying which had been told them concerning this child; and all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary kept all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

OPENING OUR HEARTS TO JESUS' DWELLING

Divine Appeal Reflection - 159

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 159:  "My heaven on earth is in the souls who accept Me. How few they are."

Here, we are graced with a heavenly appeal from our Adorable Jesus, which manifests His craving for residence in the souls of His faithful ones. The phrase "My heaven on earth" speaks to the very heart of the matter-the desire of Jesus to call home within His followers, converting their hearts into sanctuaries of His divine grace (cf. John 14:23). And what words! The unfathomable depth of a love-a love that desires to share its life with the lives of souls. Yet, the sorrowful "How few they are" indicates a measure of pain, even in a love unreturned, for few heed His call. This divine craving is more than just an appeal; it is a sacred and urgent call to all of humanity to welcome our Adorable Jesus into the fullness of life. It is an invitation to open our hearts completely to His presence, allowing Him to transform and sanctify us, drawing us ever closer to His divine love and mercy.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states that through sanctifying grace, the indwelling of the Holy Trinity occurs in the souls of the baptized (CCC 1997). Our Adorable Jesus wishes to reign in our hearts, filling them with peace and making them a taste of heaven. To "accept Him" means to open ourselves entirely to His will and to present ourselves for the transformative power of grace in our lives. It requires leading a life of faith, love, and holiness, allowing Jesus to mold us into His image. When we surrender to Him, our souls become His dwelling place, a reality that brings consolation to His longing heart.

Saint Teresa of Avila vividly described the soul as "an interior castle" where Jesus, the divine King, resides in the innermost chamber. However, she also acknowledged the human tendency to neglect this divine Guest, allowing the concerns and distractions of life to overshadow His presence. How often do we fail to offer Him the love and attention He desires? This neglect grieves the Heart of our Adorable Jesus, who longs to be welcomed and cherished. Saint Teresa's teachings challenge us to make the conscious effort to seek Jesus in prayer, sacramental life, and daily acts of love, ensuring that He is never left unacknowledged.

Our Adorable Jesus' lamentation also highlights the challenge of human indifference to His love. The distractions of the world, attachment to sin, and lack of faith frequently prevent souls from fully embracing Him. His words echo the Gospel truth of the narrow path that leads to life, which few find (cf. Matthew 7:14). This Divine Appeal is a call to self-examination: Have we truly made room for Jesus to dwell in our hearts? By responding to this call, we not only console His Sacred Heart but also discover the immense joy and peace that come from living in His presence. Let us strive to be among the few who open wide their hearts to Him, making them a true heaven on earth.

Prayer

Oh Adorable Jesus, we humbly invite You into our hearts. May Your presence sanctify our lives and transform us into reflections of Your love. Grant us the grace to always accept You fully, and may we be vessels of Your peace and joy to others.

ON THE EUCHARIST:A DIVINE APPEAL

(Revelation to Sr Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist)

VOLUME 1

“My Heart is overflowing with Mercy.”

“My daughter, listen. Pray more earnestly. Bring Me souls in
your prayers. I come to seek shelter. In your fears and troubles, My
Sacrament of Love should impart the grace of perseverance. In this
Sacrament I give Myself to you where... the majesty of the Divinity
seems to be debased. Mankind has many miseries, but if they rely on
Me from the treasure of My Mercy I enable them to rely on Me in
safety. My heaven on earth is in the souls who accept Me. How few
they are. I pour My tears of blood over this world. The souls I love
so much do not understand to what extent.

The souls consecrated to Me have whipped and abused Me.

Behold the fountain of all blessing in the Sacrament of My Love.
Day and night I am watching and waiting for souls. Consider how
I have humiliated Myself to remain a prisoner in the tabernacle for
the love of mankind. My ministers are worriless and tranquil and
through them many souls have fallen into perdition. What more
could I have suffered for this mankind?

As I am exposed I will pour the treasures of My infinite Mercy in the
hearts of human souls. Pray more and cloister souls in your heart.
My heart is overflowing with mercy and love for each and every
soul. I am in great need to save the world. I need the desire for
atonement to appease the wrath of My Eternal Father.

My Divine Mercy will be followed by Divine Justice. In this
sacrilegious struggle much of what has been created by man will be
demolished due to impulsive and enraged resistance. I call on each
soul to come back to My sheepfold before it is too late. Pray a great
deal. The demon is disposed to mislead in the centre of My Church.”

“I bless you.”

HOLY MASS READINGS FOR DECEMBER 31, 2024

Tuesday, Seventh Day within the Octave of the Nativity (White)

Optional Memorial of St. Sylvester I

LH: Office of the Octave of Nativity, Week I

Morning Mass of the Octave of Christmas, Gloria

Preface of the Nativity

FIRST READING
“You have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all know.”
A reading from the first Letter of Saint John (1 John 2:18-21)

Children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come; therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out, that it might be plain that they all are not of us. But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all know. I write to you, not because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and know that no lie is of the truth.

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 96: 1-2.11-12.13 (R. 11a)

R/. Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad.

O sing a new song to the Lord;
sing to the LORD, all the earth.
O sing to the Lord; bless his name.
Proclaim his salvation day by day. R/.

Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad;
let the sea and all within it thunder praise.
Let the land and all it bears rejoice. R/.

Then will all the trees of the wood shout for joy.
At the presence of the Lord, for he comes,
he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with justice;
he will govern the peoples with his truth. R/.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
John 1: 14a.12ac

Alleluia.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. To all who received him he gave power to become children of God.

Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“The Word became flesh.”
The beginning of the holy Gospel according to John (John 1:1-18)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came for testimony, to bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light. The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not. He came to his own home, and his own people received him not. But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only-begotten Son from the Father. (John bore witness to him, and cried, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, for he was before me.”’) And from his fullness have we all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.

THE SILENT SUFFERING OF JESUS IN THE EUCHARIST

Divine Appeal Reflection - 158

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 158: "Day and night I wait for souls to visit Me in  My prison. There are many times when they push Me and let Me  fall in the ground helplessly."

This imagery of Jesus "being pushed" and "falling down helplessly" is a heartrending reminder of how we have probably wounded Him with our sins and indifference and lack of faith in His Real Presence. It recalls the agonizing moments of His Passion, especially as He fell under the weight of the Cross, abandoned and scorned by those He came to save. Our Adorable Jesus uttered those words in expressive pain about being rejected by the very souls that He loves and redeems. As Isaiah foretells, "He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief" (cf. Isaiah 53:3). This prophecy is fulfilled, not merely in Passion, but in the myriads of tabernacles where He is alone and not adored by people, but on which he suffers the rejection of so many hearts.

The silent suffering of our Adorable Jesus continues as He dwells in the "house of love," the Eucharistic tabernacle, longing for our presence and devotion. St. Alphonsus Liguori lamented, "Behold the tabernacle, this house of love, where our God dwells, the God who is all love and longs to pour out His blessings upon us. Yet, alas, how often is He forgotten and abandoned!" These words resonate deeply with the image of Jesus falling to the ground, helpless under the weight of neglect and sacrilege. Each act of irreverence toward the Eucharist wounds His Sacred Heart, yet His infinite love remains steadfast, offering grace and mercy to all who return to Him.

This sorrowful reality challenges us to consider how our actions—or lack thereof—impact our Adorable Jesus in His Eucharistic Presence. Do we go to Him with faith and reverence, or are we driven from Him by the distractions of the world? A profound truth echoes in the teaching of St. Thomas Aquinas, who reminds us that "The Eucharist is the consummation of the whole spiritual life." Yet, this sacred mystery is often overlooked, leaving our Lord waiting in solitude, thirsting for the love and devotion that bring life to souls. His words, “I thirst” (cf. John 19:28), echo through time, calling us to quench His longing by our adoration and acts of reparation.

Let us resolve to console our Adorable Jesus by becoming faithful adorers of His Eucharistic Presence. Through frequent visits to the tabernacle, participation in Eucharistic adoration, and acts of love and reparation, we can lift the weight of abandonment from His shoulders. As St. Peter Julian Eymard beautifully expressed, "The Eucharist is the supreme proof of the love of Jesus. After this, there is nothing more but Heaven itself." May we strive to be among those who console Him, bringing light and love to His Sacred Heart, wounded yet ever merciful.

Prayer

Oh our Adorable Jesus, imprisoned in love within the tabernacle, we adore You with all our hearts. Forgive our indifference and irreverence that wound Your Sacred Heart. May our prayers, love, and reparation console You. Draw all souls to Your Eucharistic Presence, where Your grace and mercy flow unceasingly.

HOLY MASS READINGS FOR DECEMBER 30, 2024

Monday, Sixth Day in the Octave of the Nativity (White)

LH: Office of the Octave of Nativity, Week I

Mass of the Octave of Christmas, Gloria

Preface of the Nativity

FIRST READING
“He who does the will of God abides forever.”
A reading from the first Letter of Saint John (1 John 2:12-17)

I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his sake. I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the Evil One. I write to you, children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the Evil One. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 96:7-8a.8b-9.10 (R.11a)

R/. Let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad.

Give the Lord, you families of peoples,
Give the Lord glory and power;
Give the Lord the glory of his name. R/.

Bring an offering and enter his courts;
worship the Lord in holy splendour.
O tremble before him, all the earth. R/.

Say to the nations, “The Lord is king.”
The world he made firm in its place;
He will judge the peoples in fairness. R/.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

Alleluia.

A hallowed day has shone upon us; come, O nations, and adore the Lord; for today a great light has come down to earth.

Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“She spoke of him to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Luke 2:36-40)

At that time: There was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher; she was of a great age, having lived with her husband seven years from her virginity, and as a widow till she was eighty-four. She did not depart from the temple, worshipping with fasting and prayer night and day. And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks to God, and spoke of him to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem. And when they had performed everything according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favour of God was upon him.

LIFTING OUR EYES TO JESUS

Divine Appeal Reflection - 157

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 157:  "I implore you to lift your eyes to Me. Courage even if you  experience difficulties."

Our Adorable Jesus lovingly invites us to open our eyes to Him, since He is the only strength and hope in the trials of life. This invitation is consistent with the teaching of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which states that trust in God is more tested when made to face suffering (cf. CCC 2734). Only focus on Jesus, and the crushing weight of your burdens somehow disappears to give you the peace and courage that only He can offer. The psalmist has said it in the most beautiful way: "My help comes from The Lord, maker of heaven and earth." (cf. Psalm 121:1-2).

In moments of difficulty, courage grounded in God’s grace becomes essential. Jesus reassures us of His triumph over the world, urging us to take heart and share in His victory (cf. John 16:33). True courage is not the absence of fear but a profound trust in divine providence, even when challenges seem insurmountable. The Catechism teaches that God allows trials to draw forth greater goods, transforming them into opportunities for grace and holiness (cf. CCC 311). When entrusted to our Adorable Jesus, these difficulties lead us to a deeper union with Him.

Lifting our eyes to Jesus demands a life of faith nurtured through prayer and the sacraments. In prayer, we encounter our Adorable Jesus, who offers strength and consolation in our struggles. The Catechism highlights prayer as an essential aspect of the Christian life, warning that without it, we risk losing our way (cf. CCC 2744).Through the Eucharist, we are intimately united with our Adorable Jesus, who lovingly bears our burdens and strengthens us in every trial. Reconciliation, in turn, renews our souls by restoring us to God’s grace, granting us the fortitude to persevere faithfully on our journey (cf. 1 Corinthians 10:16; John 20:22-23).

Indeed, the Blessed Virgin Mary exemplifies a perfect trust in God that raises one’s eyes unto the Almighty. At the foot of the Cross, she witnessed a demonstration of the greatest love and courage: a mother’s heart held amidst deep sorrow (cf. John 19:25-27). Mimicking her example of faith and calling upon her power in our own weaknesses, we find the strength to withstand trial and become hope-carrying instruments of others. Hence, let us offer our hearts in faith to our Adorable Jesus, confident that He shall fulfill His promise to sustain us and draw good things out from every hardship. In Him, one finds the courage and peace needed to walk in faith towards the challenges of life.

Prayer

Oh our Adorable Jesus, we lift our eyes to You in trust and surrender. Grant us courage to face life’s trials with faith, knowing You are our strength and peace. Transform our struggles into grace, and lead us ever closer to Your loving heart. Jesus, we trust in You.

HOLY MASS READINGS FOR DECEMBER 29, 2024

Sunday, Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (White)

LH: Office of the Feast

Mass of the Feast, Gloria, Creed

Preface of the Nativity

FIRST READING
A reading from the Book of 1 Samuel (1 Samuel 1:20-22,24-28)

And in due time Hannah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Samuel, for she said, “I have asked him of the Lord.” And the man Elkanah and all his house went up to offer the Lord the yearly sacrifice, and to pay his vow. But Hannah did not go up, for she said to her husband, “As soon as the child is weaned, I will bring him, that he may appear in the presence of the Lord, and abide there for ever.” And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, along with a three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour, and a skin of wine; and she brought him to the house of the Lord at Shiloh; and the child was young. Then they slew the bull, and they brought the child to Eli. And she said, “Oh, my Lord! As you live, my Lord, I am the woman who was standing here in your presence, praying to the Lord. For this child I prayed; and the Lord has granted me my petition which I made to him. Therefore I have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives, he is lent to the Lord.

FIRST READING
“He who fears the Lord honours his parents. ”
A reading from the Book of Sirach (Sirach 3:2-6.12-14)

The Lord honoured the father above the children, and he confirmed the right of the mother over her sons. Whoever honours his father atones for sins, and preserves himself from them. When he prays, he is heard; and whoever glorifies his mother is like one who lays up treasure. Whoever honours his father will be gladdened by his own children, and when he prays he will be heard. Whoever glorifies his father will have long life, and whoever obeys the Lord will refresh his mother. O son, help your father in his old age, and do not grieve him as long as he lives; even if he is lacking in understanding, show forbearance; and do not despise him all the days of his life. For kindness to a father will not be forgotten, and against your sins it will be credited to you a house raised in justice to you.

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm 84:2-3, 5-6, 9-11 (R 5a)

R/. Blessed are they who dwell in your house, O Lord.

How lovely is your dwelling place,
O Lord of host.
My soul is longing and yearning
for the courts of the Lord.
My heart and my flesh cry out
to the living God. R/.

Blessed are they who dwell in your house,
for ever singing your praise.
Blessed is the man whose strength is in you,
whose heart is set on pilgrim ways. R/.

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer;
give ear, O God of Jacob.
Turn your eyes, O God, our shield;
look on the face of your anointed. R/.

One day within your courts
is better than a thousand elsewhere.
The threshold of the house of God
I prefer to dwellings of the wicked. R/.

SECOND READING
Concerning the Christian life in the family.
A reading from the book of 1 John (1 John 3:1-2, 21-24)

Beloved: See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God’s children now; it does not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him. And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. All who keep his commandments abide in him, and he in them. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the spirit which he has given us.

The word of the Lord.

OR

SECOND READING
Concerning the Christian life in the family.
A reading from the Letter of Saint Paul to the Colossians (Colossians 3:12-21)

Brethren: Put on, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And over all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as you teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

The word of the Lord.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Alleluia.

Open our hearts, O Lord, that we may give heed to the words of your Son.

Alleluia.

GOSPEL
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Luke 2:41-52)

The parents of Jesus went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up according to custom; and when the feast was ended, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it, but supposing him to be in the company they went a day’s journey, and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances; and when they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking him. After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions; and all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. And when they saw him they were astonished; and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us so? Behold, your father and I have been looking for you anxiously.” And he said to them, “How is it that you sought me? Did you not know that I must be in my father’s house?” And they did not understand the saying which he spoke to them. And he went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them; and his mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature, and in favour with God and man.

TRUE LOVE FOR THE ETERNAL FATHER

Divine Appeal Reflection - 156

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 156:  "You must put into practice what I have told you. Do it out of love for My Eternal Father."

By our Adorable Jesus, we are reminded that behind every action, there must be the love of the Eternal Father. That love, too, expresses the Trinitarian relationship at the depth of our faith, that is, the Son's perfect obedience and love in being united to the Father eternally. The mission on earth which Jesus completed was to show the Father's infinite love and to glorify Him by all His words and deeds. He did not come, therefore, to accomplish his own will, but to do the will of him who sent him (cf. John 6:38). His life was all in all a testament of love for the Father, most splendidly manifested in his Passion and death. Not only for him, but this call goes to all Christians, who are asked to imitate His steps and participate in that divine connection with the Father.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) profoundly teaches that Jesus' earthly mission was entirely anchored in His loving obedience to the will of the Father, reaching its zenith in the sacrifice of the Cross (cf. CCC 606). This obedience was not born of compulsion but flowed freely from His infinite love—a selfless offering made for the redemption of humanity and the glorification of the Father. By His perfect example, our Adorable Jesus reveals that authentic love for the Father necessitates complete surrender and unwavering trust.

It is not sufficient to engage in external acts of charity or devotion; such works must spring from a heart ablaze with divine love. Jesus Himself declares the greatest commandment: to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind (cf. Matthew 22:37). This all-encompassing love must imbue every aspect of our daily lives, sanctifying even the smallest tasks and transforming them into acts of profound worship. Let us, therefore, strive to imitate our Lord, offering ourselves wholly to the Father with hearts consumed by love.

Living out of love for the Eternal divine Father is to live within the divine life by partaking in the community of Holy Trinity. To live under the imitation of Jesus is to partake in that life, which is a continual exchange of love between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. St. Paul has written: In Christ, however, we have been given the adoption 'among God's children', and we can call him 'Abba', 'Father' (cf. Romans 8:15). This strong tie invites us into a higher comprehension about our identity and mission as children of God. The Father is glorified and brings us nearer to Himself through every action of love, prayer, and obedience we give Him. This union is deepened in the sacraments, especially the Eucharist, where we join our imperfect love to the perfect offering of our Adorable Jesus for the Father.

Finally, practical ways to manifest love for the Eternal Father include a life of surrender, obedience, and gratitude. Begin each day by consecrating all your actions, joys, and sufferings to Him, offering them as an act of love. Obedience to His commandments and the teachings of the Church reflects our trust in His wisdom and care. Furthermore, spending time in prayer, particularly in Eucharistic Adoration, allows us to commune with our Adorable Jesus, who leads us to the Father. Living a life of gratitude for His countless blessings is another way to glorify Him, as gratitude opens our hearts to recognize His providential care. As we strive to live this way, we fulfill Jesus' call to put into practice what He has taught us and to do so out of love for the Eternal Father, who desires our hearts above all things.

Prayer

Our Adorable Jesus, guide us to live in perfect love and obedience to the Eternal Father. Teach us to glorify Him in every action and to surrender fully to His divine will. May Your example inspire us to love selflessly, bringing souls to His embrace through our words and deeds.

HOLY MASS READINGS FOR DECEMBER 28, 2024

Feast of the Holy Innocents (Red)

LH: Office of the Feast

Mass of the Feast, Gloria

FIRST READING
“The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.”
A reading from the first Letter of Saint John (1 John 1:5-2:2)

Beloved: This is the message we have heard from Jesus Christ and proclaim to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not live according to the truth; but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. My little children, I am writing this to you so that you may not sin; but if any one does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and he is the expiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Psalm124:2-3.4-5.7b-8 (R.7ab)

R/. Our life, like a bird, has escaped from the snare of the fowler.

If the Lord had not been on our side
when men rose against us,
then would they have swallowed us alive
when their anger was kindled.” R/.

Then would the waters have engulfed us,
the torrent gone over us;
over our head would have swept the raging waters.” R/.

Indeed, the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.
Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth. R/.

ALLELUIA
Alleluia.

We praise you, O God; we acclaim you as the Lord; the white-robed army of martyrs sings your praise.

GOSPEL
“Herod killed all the male children in Bethlehem.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (Matthew 2:13-18)

When the Wise Men had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there till I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.” And he rose and took the child and his mother by night, and departed to Egypt, and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfil what the Lord had spoken by the prophet, “Out of Egypt have I called my son.” Then Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the Wise Men, was in a furious rage, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time which he had ascertained from the Wise Men. Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah: “A voice was heard in Ramah, wailing and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be consoled, because they were no more.”

GUARDING THE SOUL WITH GRACE AND VIGILANCE

Divine Appeal Reflection - 155

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 155: "I call them all to watch and pray, fight their evil inclinations and suffer them not to grow into bad habits. The grass in the meadowlands has to be mowed every year. The ground needs to be ploughed, manured, and freed from weeds."

Our Most Adorable Jesus enjoins us to "watch and pray," exhorting every soul to a spiritual discipline and vigilance. The beautiful caution finds expression in the very words with which our Adorable Jesus addresses his disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane, urging them to stay awake to pray so that they may not fall into temptation (cf. Matthew 26:41). It is through prayer that we equip ourselves with the divine grace of resisting sin's snares and remaining steadfast on the path of righteousness. Similarly, alertness lets us see the influences of sin and grace in our souls, directing our decisions to be consistent with God's holy will and walking in His light.

Fighting against evil inclinations—the disordered impulses that arise from our sinful nature—is another point our Adorable Jesus makes clear. The Christian life is a struggle between the flesh and the spirit, according to St. Paul, who teaches that we must mortify our sinful inclinations and live according to the Spirit (cf. Galatians 5:16-17). This battle against sin is a necessary component of our path to holiness; it is not optional. We actively fight the vices that would imprison us by fostering virtues through prayer, self-denial, and charitable deeds.

Evil inclinations, if left unchecked, develop into habits that distort our moral compass and alienate us from God. Our Adorable Jesus warns of this danger, urging us to prevent bad habits from taking root in our lives. The Catechism of the Catholic Church affirms that repeated sinful actions form habits that incline us further toward sin (cf. CCC 1865). These habits harden the heart, making repentance more challenging. Therefore, Jesus’ call is a plea to confront and uproot sin at its earliest stages, safeguarding the freedom of our souls.

The metaphor of the meadowlands that "need to be mowed every year" is a poignant reminder of the constant effort required in the spiritual life. Our Adorable Jesus likens this care to plowing the ground, adding nourishment, and removing weeds to ensure a fruitful harvest. Plowing symbolizes the repentance that breaks up the hardness of our hearts, while manuring reflects the sustenance provided by the sacraments, particularly the Eucharist and Reconciliation. The removal of weeds signifies the ongoing effort to reject sin and grow in virtue, aligning our lives with God’s design (cf. John 15:1-2).

In response to this divine appeal, let us dedicate ourselves to the labor of cultivating our souls. By cooperating with grace, we participate in the sanctification that prepares us for the eternal harvest of heaven. The path is not easy, but our Adorable Jesus assures us of His assistance, for He never abandons those who seek His help.

Prayer

Our Adorable Jesus, we turn to You in humility, seeking the strength to watch and pray as You have commanded. Grant us the grace to resist evil inclinations and uproot sin from our hearts. Nourish us with Your sacraments and guide us in cultivating lives that bear fruit for Your glory. May we persevere in this holy work until we are united with You in the eternal joy of heaven.

“The Church is in ruin.”

“My daughter, pray a great deal. I am in search of souls to lead the
world to me. It is My great love for mankind that keeps me a prisoner.
I reveal My sad feelings. I have no rest or comfort in the midst of My
ministers and consecrated souls to Me. More than ever they torture
Me continuously.

My body and blood is an agony to Me. Did I shed it in vain for
souls? What more could I have suffered for this mankind? These are
My words from My Divine Mercy.

I call them all to watch and pray, fight their evil inclinations and suffer
them not to grow into bad habits. The grass in the meadowlands
has to be mowed every year. The ground needs to be ploughed,
manured, and freed from weeds. My Church is in ruin. Great work
must be carried on. Prayer must be carried on in souls. Many souls
are blinded. They do not know what the truth is.

Grace loses its power. Sin increases and finally souls end up in hell.
I pour My tears of blood over My church. Pray a great deal. In the

cleanse My defiled and disfigured countenance.”

“The other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to John (John 20:2-8)

On the first day of the week: Mary Magdalene ran, and went to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.” Peter then came out with the other disciple, and they went towards the tomb. They both ran, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first; and stooping to look in, he saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; he saw the linen cloths lying, and the napkin, which had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed.

AWAKENING HEARTS TO THE TRUTH

Divine Appeal Reflection - 154

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 154:  “ My poor and innocent children do not know where the truth lies. "

In Divine Appeal 154, the words of our Adorable Jesus, reflect His deep sorrow for the vulnerability of souls searching for spiritual truth amidst a world overshadowed by confusion and error. The term “poor” transcends material poverty, pointing especially to those who are spiritually impoverished or unformed in their faith. Such spiritual poverty renders them susceptible to deception, as they lack the foundation of Gospel truth (cf. Matthew 5:3). In His merciful love, Jesus calls for an awakening of hearts to the light of His divine truth, inviting all to rely on His guidance to overcome the snares of error and falsehood. Our Adorable Jesus came to bring light to such darkness, yet His followers are often left wandering due to a lack of proper teaching or misdirection from false ideologies. As the Catechism notes, truth is objective, grounded in God’s revelation (cf. CCC 2467), but many are deceived by relative or subjective truths promoted in modern culture.

This confusion is exacerbated by the presence of relativism and secularism in today’s world. In a culture where truth is often seen as flexible and subject to personal interpretation, many innocent souls are lost, unable to distinguish between genuine faith and the distorted versions of truth that surround them. The teachings of our Adorable Jesus, as recorded in the Gospels, stand in stark contrast to this mindset, proclaiming truth as something absolute and unchanging, grounded in the person of Christ (cf. John 14:6). However, people who lack a solid foundation in the teachings of the Church run the risk of being carried away by the waves of deception in a time when objective truth is being rejected more and more.

The Church, as the guardian of God’s truth, has a vital role in guiding these "innocent children" towards the authentic teachings of the faith. As our Adorable Jesus entrusted His Apostles with the mission to teach and baptize all nations (cf. Matthew 28:19-20), so too must the Church continue to uphold and transmit the truth to those searching for it. The Catechism affirms that the Church’s Magisterium serves the Word of God, interpreting and safeguarding it for the faithful (cf. CCC 86). It is through the Magisterium and the sacred tradition of the Church that the faithful can find clear guidance, avoiding the confusion that arises from modern ideologies and interpretations.

Prayer

Our Adorable Jesus, fill our hearts with Your divine truth and light. Guide us through the confusion of this world, protecting us from deception. Strengthen our faith and help us follow Your way, always trusting in Your wisdom, love, and mercy to lead us to eternal life.

HOLY MASS READINGS FOR DECEMBER 26, 2024

Feast of St. Stephen, the First Martyr  (Red)

LH: Office of the Feast

Mass of the Feast, Gloria

FIRST READING
“Behold, I see the heavens opened.”
A reading from the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 6:8- 10; 7:54-59)

In those days: Stephen, full of grace and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, arose and disputed with Stephen. But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke. Now when they heard these things they were enraged, and they ground their teeth against him. But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God; and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing at the right hand of God.” But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears and rushed together upon him. Then they cast him out of the city and stoned him; and the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. And as they were stoning Stephen, he prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”

The word of the Lord.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM
Ps 31:3bc-4.6 and 8ab.16bc and 17 (R. 6a)

R/. Into your hand, O Lord, I commend my spirit.

Be a rock of refuge for me,
a mighty stronghold to save me.
For you are my rock, my stronghold!
Lead me, guide me, for the sake of your name. R/.

Into your hands I commend my spirit.
You will redeem me, O Lord, O faithful God.
Let me be glad and rejoice in your mercy,
For you who have seen my affliction. R/.

Deliver me from the hands of my enemies
and those who pursue me.
Let your face shine on your servant.
Save me in your merciful love. R/.

GOSPEL ACCLAMATION
Psalm 118:26a.27ab

Alleluia.

Blessed is he who enters in the name of the Lord; the Lord is God, and he has given us light.

Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“It is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew (Matthew 10:17-22)

At that time: Jesus said to his apostles, “Beware of men; for they will deliver you up to councils, and flog you in their synagogues, and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear testimony before them and the Gentiles. When they deliver you up, do not be anxious about how you are to speak or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death; and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”

FREEMASONRY AND THE STRUGGLE AGAINST EVIL

Divine Appeal Reflection - 153

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 153:  "Nowhere are more cruel affronts heaped upon Me than in My sacred tabernacle where abounds the mercy of My love. While they possess the devil in their hearts, they sacrilegiously receive Me and then they cast Me at the feet of satan who sits enthroned in their hearts. The freemasonries!"

Freemasonry, or Masonry, is a worldwide group that claims to promote good morals, friendship, and personal development. However, its views and actions are directly opposed to the Catholic Church's doctrines. In Divine Appeal 153, our Adorable Jesus shows deep sadness for the sacrileges committed against Him, notably towards the Eucharist, and cautions against the influence of freemasonry. This plea emphasizes the serious spiritual harm caused by freemasonry, which desecrates His Real Presence and elevates Satan in human souls.

Consider a secret group meeting where participants use symbolic tools and ceremonies to discuss life, faith, and the universe. Initially an association for stonemasons during the Middle Ages, Freemasonry gradually developed into a separate secret society with its own distinctive teachings, symbols, and rituals. According to Freemasonry, there is a "Supreme Being" or perhaps the "Great Architect of the Universe." However, this immediately conflicts with the concept of the Trinity that defines God for Christians : Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Instead, Freemasonry maintains that all religions are equally valid paths to the truth, contrasting sharply with Christ's uniqueness and exclusivity as the ultimate way to God, (cf. John 14:6)

The Catholic Church has strongly opposed freemasonry. Pope Clement XII warned Catholics in the 18th century about its secrecy and anti-Christianity. Later, in his encyclical Humanum Genus (1884), Pope Leo XIII defined freemasonry as a group that rejects Christ's teachings and attempts to eliminate Christian ideals from society. He referred to it as a "kingdom of Satan" that promotes ideas such as secularism (the removal of God from public life) and relativism (the belief that there is no absolute truth) (see Humanum Genus). To this day, the Church maintains that joining freemasonry is a grievous sin (cf Canon 1374).

In Divine Appeal 153, our Adorable Jesus reveals the deep pain He feels when individuals with hearts filled with evil receive Him unworthily in Holy Communion. He describes how these individuals sacrilegiously take Him into their hearts, only to cast Him before Satan. This reflects the spiritual harm caused by freemasonry, which encourages people to reject God’s truth and rely on their own understanding. Such attitudes lead to pride, moral confusion, and grave sins, including desecration of the Eucharist.

Freemasonry’s influence extends beyond individuals to society as a whole. It works to replace Christian values with ideas that seem appealing but ultimately lead people away from God. For example, freemasonry promotes the idea that "all religions are the same" or that "truth depends on personal opinion," which confuses people and weakens their faith. These ideas can seep into culture, schools, and even laws, creating a world where God is forgotten, and human desires take center stage.

Freemasonry’s goal to remove God from society reminds us of the urgent need to proclaim Jesus as the one true Savior of the world. Let us respond to Divine Appeal 153 by praying fervently, loving our Eucharistic Lord, and offering our lives in reparation for the offenses He suffers. With faith, prayer, and trust in His mercy, we can help bring souls back to Him and stand firm against the forces of darkness. As Catholics, we can mitigate the harm caused by freemasonry by strengthening our own faith through immersing ourselves in Scripture, deepening our understanding of the Catechism, and frequently partaking in the grace of the Sacraments. We must also live holy lives and witness to the truth of Jesus in our daily actions. By doing so, we bring light to those trapped in darkness and console the Heart of our Adorable Jesus, who thirsts for souls.

Prayer

Our Adorable Jesus, we beg forgiveness for the sacrileges committed against Your Real Presence in the Eucharist. Cleanse hearts enthroned by sin and bring light to those blinded by error. May Your mercy triumph over darkness, and may we love and adore You always, offering reparation for all offenses.

Mass of the Solemnity, Gloria, Creed

Preface of the Nativity

FIRST READING
“All the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.”
A reading from the Book of Isaiah (Isaiah 52:7-10)

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good tidings, who publishes peace, who brings good tidings of good, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Listen, your watchmen lift up their voice, together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. Break forth together into singing, you waste places of Jerusalem; for the Lord has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem. The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

R/. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

O sing a new song to the Lord,
for he has worked wonders.

SECOND READING
“God has spoken to us by a Son.”
A reading from the Letter to the Hebrews (Hebrews 1:1-6)

In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets; but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the ages. He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the 'right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has obtained is more excellent than theirs. For to what angel did God ever say, “You are my Son, today I have begotten you?” Or again, “I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son?” And again, when he brings the first-born into the world, he says, “Let all God’s angels worship him.”

The word of the Lord.

ALLELUIA

Alleluia.

A hallowed day has shone upon us: come, O nations, and adore the Lord; for today a great light has come down to earth.

Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
The beginning of the holy Gospel according to John (John 1:1-18)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God; all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.*There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only-begotten Son from the Father.* (John bore witness to him, and cried, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, for he was before me.”’) And from his fullness have we all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.

FIRES OF SIN IN THE MODERN WORLD

Divine Appeal Reflection - 152

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 152: "Small fires have been lit everywhere like contagious plagues which inundate souls and inflames them to everything. The great blasphemies have covered My figure and My heart bleeds from pain."

The word "contagious plagues" in Divine Appeal 152 aptly describes the gradual growth of immorality in our modern environment. Sin, like small fire, frequently starts unnoticed but spreads swiftly, consuming individuals, families, and civilizations in its devastating flames. Today, we see a wide range of doctrines and activities that violate holy rule, leading souls astray from the path of purity. These "small fires" can be seen in the denial of God's sovereignty, the distortion of truth, and the pursuit of self-centered wants, all of which lead us away from our Adorable Jesus' loving embrace.

One of the most deadly fires is a widespread rejection of the sovereignty of God. In today's secularized world, there is a tendency to eliminate God from public life and decision-making, encouraging a culture of independence and pride. This denial of God as Creator and Lord leaves souls spiritually empty and vulnerable to despair. Scripture reminds us that all creation exists through and for Christ, and in Him, everything is held together (cf. Colossians 1:16-17). When humanity rejects this truth, it succumbs to chaos and moral disarray, further fueling the fire of sin. Our Adorable Jesus, whose heart bleeds from these blasphemies, longs to draw us back to the peace that only He can give.

Another widespread fire is the distortion of truth, which leads innumerable lives astray. Moral relativism has spread in a world that views reality as subjective, denying the presence of absolute truths found only in God (cf. John 14:6). This distortion has led to uncertainty regarding fundamental facts such as the sanctity of life, the essence of marriage, and the dignity of the human being. Relativism blinds souls to the light of Christ and makes them susceptible to sin. Yet, our Adorable Jesus stands as the unchanging Truth, calling His children to reject the lies of the world and embrace the life-giving clarity of His teachings.

Finally, the pursuit of self-centered desires-manifested in materialism and hedonism-acts as fuel for the fires of sin. In the relentless chase for wealth, pleasure, and power, many prioritize fleeting earthly treasures over eternal communion with God. As Scripture warns, those who worship created things instead of the Creator lose sight of their ultimate purpose (cf. Romans 1:25). These distractions harden hearts and make them resistant to divine grace. Nevertheless, our Adorable Jesus offers hope. Through prayer, repentance, and a return to His loving arms, souls can extinguish these fires and rediscover the peace and joy that come from living in union with Him. May we remain vigilant against the spread of sin, trusting in the mercy of our Adorable Jesus to guide us back to holiness.

Prayer

Our Adorable Jesus, cleanse our hearts from the fires of sin and restore Your truth in our lives. Extinguish the plagues of evil in the world, and inflame our souls with unwavering love for You. May Your mercy transform every heart and lead us to the path of holiness.

DIVINE APPEAL 152

ON THE EUCHARIST:A DIVINE APPEAL

(Revelation to Sr Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist)

VOLUME 1

“Souls are racing to perdition.”

“My daughter, listen to My warning from My Divine Mercy. Like
a beggar, I ask for prayers of atonement. Souls are racing to perdition.
My Divine Mercy is followed by Divine Justice. Bending over the
world I pour tears of blood over My Church. Pray a great deal. Do
not fear the devil. Bring Me souls. He will always torment your body.
Never will he be on your side but I will not abandon you to death.
The devil will always labour hard to destroy you in order to prevent
you winning souls for Me and repairing. Even then do not be tired.
Quench My thirst. When a soul falls into perdition it is eternally lost.
This is a grave moment. Adore My Presence in the Blessed Sacrament.
I beg you to respond to My Love in your life. I have chosen you as a
victim to kneel before Me on earth in order to pray. Console Me and
bring Me more souls. Do not be afraid to lose your personality.

Small fires have been lit everywhere like contagious plagues
which inundate souls and inflames them to everything. The great
blasphemies have covered My figure and My heart bleeds from pain.
Pray more and sacrifice all... before it is too late.”

“I give My blessing.”

FIRST READING
The kingdom of David shall be made sure for ever before the Lord.
A reading from the second Book of Samuel (2 Samuel 7: 1-5.8b-12. 14a.16)

Now when King David dwelt in his house, and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies round about, the king said to Nathan the prophet, “See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells in a tent.” And Nathan said to the king, “Go, do all that is in your heart; for the LORD is with you.” But that same night the word of the Lord came to Nathan, “Go and tell my servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord; would you build me a house to dwell in? “‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people Israel; and I have been with you wherever you went, and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make for you a great name, like the name of the great ones of the earth. And I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place, and be disturbed no more; and violent men shall afflict them no more, as formerly, from the time that I appointed judges over my people Israel; and I will give you rest from all your enemies. Moreover the Lord declares to you that the Lord will make you a house. When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come forth from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. “‘I will be his Father and he shall be my son. “‘And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure for ever before me; your throne shall be established for ever. ”’

Allelulia.

O Daystar, splendour of the eternal light and son of justice! Come and enlighten those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death.

Alleluia.

GOSPEL
“The day shall dawn upon us from on high.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Luke 1:67-79)

At that time: Zechariah, the father of John, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people, and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David, as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old, that we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us; to perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant, the oath which he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life. And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins, through the tender mercy of our God, when the day shall dawn upon us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Saturday of  the Third Week of Advent, Year C  (Purple)

LH: Office of the Day, Week III

Mass of the day, Preface II of Advent

FIRST READING
Behold, my beloved comes leaping upon the mountains.
A reading from the Song of Solomon (Song of Solomon 2:8-14)

The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes, leaping upon the mountains, bounding over the hills. My beloved is like a gazelle, or a young stag. Behold, there he stands behind our wall, gazing in at the windows, looking through the lattice. My beloved speaks and says to me: “Arise, my love, my dove, my fair one, and come away; for behold, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of pruning has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree puts forth its figs; and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the covert of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet, and your face is comely.”

The word of the Lord.

Or the following:

A reading from the Book of the Prophet Zephaniah (Zephaniah 3:14- 18a)

Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The LORD has taken away the judgements against you, he has cast out your enemies. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; you shall fear evil no more. On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak. The Lord your God is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you. With gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of festival.”

The word of the Lord.

“Why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Luke 1:39-45)

In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a city of Judah, and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the child leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the child in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfilment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”

A CALL TO HEAR AND OBEY

Divine Appeal Reflection - 151

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 151: "If mankind do not hear My words, time will come and it will fall in this mire of errors.. "

Jesus’ mission centers on drawing souls into deep communion with Him, a relationship built on attentive listening and faithful obedience. This call is not limited to simply hearing His Word, but to allowing it to deeply transform our hearts and lives. The love of our Adorable Jesus invites us to respond with trust and action, making His truth the foundation of our existence. As we hear and obey His voice, we enter into divine life, aligning our will to His and reflecting His glory to the world (cf. Luke 11:28).

To hear and obey Jesus begins with humility. It requires acknowledging that God’s ways are infinitely higher than our own, calling us to trust in His divine wisdom. Such humility opens our hearts to accept His teachings, even when they challenge our understanding or comfort. The Blessed Virgin Mary offers the perfect model of this virtue in her response to God’s messenger, surrendering completely to His will. Her example reveals the beauty of obedience rooted in trust and love. Following her lead, we are called to submit ourselves to the will of our Adorable Jesus, trusting that His plan is always for our ultimate good and sanctification (cf. Isaiah 55:8-9; Luke 1:38).

Obedience to Jesus also demands profound trust. To live according to His commands is to believe that His love and wisdom surpass all human understanding. True love for Him is demonstrated not only in words but also in action, as we embrace His guidance and align our lives with His divine law. By walking in obedience, we allow our Adorable Jesus to illuminate the path of righteousness, steering us away from the errors that lead to spiritual ruin. Trusting in Him, we find freedom, joy, and salvation, knowing that His commandments are the way to eternal life (cf. John 14:15).

Let us, then, respond to the call of our Adorable Jesus to listen to His words and follow them with obedience. Through the grace of the sacraments, humility, trust, and perseverance, may we accept His truth and live in accordance with His will. By doing this, we will not only experience His blessing of joy and peace, but we will also guide others to the light of His salvific love.

Prayer

Our Adorable Jesus, teach us to hear Your Word with humility and obey it with love. Help us trust in Your wisdom, surrender to Your will, and follow Your path of righteousness. May Your truth transform our hearts and guide us to live faithfully for Your glory.

ON THE EUCHARIST:A DIVINE APPEAL

(Revelation to Sr Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist)

VOLUME 1

“As I am exposed, I will pour the treasures of My infinite Mercy into
human souls.”

“My daughter, as I am exposed I will pour the treasures of My
infinite mercy into human souls. If mankind do not hear My words,
time will come and it will fall in this mire of errors.

I agonise over souls. Pray more for the consecrated souls. Many
have lost My Life. They have allowed themselves to be dominated
by the devil. Almost all of them abuse Me. What more could I have
suffered for this mankind? I love souls and I am torn into pieces by
them. Pray and atone. It is time to pray.”

“I give My blessing.”

FIRST READING
“Behold, a virgin shall conceive.”
A reading from the Book of Isaiah (Isaiah 7: 10-14)

In those days: The Lord spoke to Ahaz, “Ask a sign of the Lord your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven.” But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, and I will not put the Lord to the test.” And he said, “Hear then, O house of David! I sit too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God is with us].”

The word of the Lord.

GOSPEL
“You will conceive in your womb and bear a son.”
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Luke (Luke 1:26-38)

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered in her mind what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favour with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I know not man?” And the angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon, you, and the power of the Most High will over shadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, your kinswoman Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
