Divine Appeal Reflection - 133
Today, consider in Divine Appeal 133: "Bring Me souls. Do not waste any of these precious times. Time is short for saving souls. I want souls to know My clemency"
Reminding us that "The days of our life are short," the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 1007) highlights how time is a valuable gift from God. One of His greatest blessings, time is often misused or squandered. Every moment presents a new opportunity to grow in charity, love, and holiness, calling us to use it wisely for His glory and the salvation of souls. Time, when rightly embraced, becomes a path to spiritual growth and fulfillment of our Christian mission. This precious gift should not be wasted on vain or worldly pursuits but rather should be spent on what is eternal—bringing souls to Christ, our Adorable Jesus.
We are stewards of our time, entrusted with the responsibility to use it moderately and wisely. Jesus, through His words, encourages us to approach this stewardship with care: "Do not waste any of these precious times." The parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30) illustrates this well—those who use their time and talents in service of God's will are rewarded. Likewise, every act of kindness, prayer, and sacrifice we make brings souls closer to the boundless mercy and clemency of Jesus.
In Divine Appeal 133, Jesus emphasizes the urgency: "Time is short for saving souls." This reminds us that our earthly time is limited, and the opportunity to affect others' eternal destinies is fleeting. Our Adorable Jesus longs to extend His clemency and mercy to all souls, especially those who are distant from His love. As Christians, we are tasked with the sacred duty of sharing this divine mercy, becoming instruments of His grace through prayer, example, and evangelization.
In our daily lives, we can emulate the zeal of the saints by making conscious efforts to bring Christ into our homes, workplaces, and communities. Whether by engaging in conversations that uplift and proclaim the truths of the Faith, inviting others to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, or offering heartfelt prayers for those lost in spiritual darkness, we are answering Jesus’ urgent call: "Bring Me souls." Through these acts of charity, we become instruments of His divine mercy, drawing souls back to His loving embrace and fulfilling our Christian duty to lead others to the salvation found in Christ alone.
Prayer
Our Adorable Jesus, grant us the grace to use each moment wisely for Your glory. Help us bring souls to Your boundless mercy. Strengthen our faith and fill our hearts with love for Your Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament. May we always follow Your will with humility and devotion.
Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist, intercede for us.
