JESUS' TEARS OF BLOOD OVER HUMANITY

Divine Appeal Reflection  - 127

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 127: "I pour My tears of blood over humanity. I need you to pray and listen to Me. I am so abused and blasphemed in the Sacrament of My Love."

Jesus' tears of blood symbolize the profound gravity of the situation facing humanity. These tears are not just figurative expressions of sadness, but they manifest the depth of His love and His immeasurable compassion for souls who have turned away from Him. The world's sins, particularly the disrespect and doubt toward Jesus' real presence in the Holy Eucharist, have a profoundly piercing effect on His Sacred Heart, which is overflowing with an unfathomable love for all humanity. His tender, merciful love endures immense pain from the indifference and lack of faith shown to this most holy mystery.

In the Eucharist, our Adorable Jesus remains with us in the most intimate and profound way possible—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. He chose this sacrament as a means to continue His saving work, to feed His people with the Bread of Life, and to be a source of divine grace and strength. All souls continue to receive the unlimited love and mercy of Jesus in this humble sacramental way, the same Jesus who gave Himself on the Cross for our redemption.

Yet, in the face of this divine gift, many have turned away. Jesus's tears of blood reflect His sorrow over the widespread lack of faith in His Eucharistic Presence. The same Lord who gave everything on the Cross is ignored, forgotten, or treated with indifference. Irreverence in approaching the Blessed Sacrament, neglect in attending Mass, and even outright blasphemy grieve His Sacred Heart in a profound way. His love is unchanging, but the wounds inflicted by these offenses cause Him deep pain. Despite the offenses committed against Him, our Adorable Jesus does not cease to love. His tears of blood are not tears of hopelessness, but of compassion. Every tear signifies His longing to save, heal, and bring back the souls who have wandered far from Him. Jesus continues to be the Good Shepherd who looks for lost sheep and wants to bring them back to safety, even in His grief.

Through His bloody tears, our Adorable Jesus invites us to reestablish our reverence for His real Presence in the Sacrament of His Love, therefore healing His wounded Heart. He calls us to adore, love, and recommit ourselves to His real presence in the Blessed Sacrament, an everlasting source of grace and mercy. As we consider His great anguish, let us respond to His divine appeal by deepening our Eucharistic bond with Him and atoning for the transgressions committed against Him. By doing this, we turn into His merciful vessels, bringing comfort to His Heart and healing to the entire world.

Prayer

Adorable Jesus, we humbly adore Your Sacred Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Through Your tears of blood, draw us closer to Your infinite mercy and grant us the grace to console Your wounded Heart. Inspire within us a deep love for You and bring about the conversion of sinners through Your boundless compassion.

Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist, intercede for us.
