JESUS' NEED FOR EVERY SOUL

Divine Appeal Reflection  - 126

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 126: "I have dwelt in the tabernacles for centuries waiting and longing for souls. I need every soul as if it was the only one on earth."

Every soul is a masterpiece fashioned by the hand of God, created with a specific purpose and adorned with distinct beauty. The value of a soul is not measured by fleeting worldly standards but by the eternal love of our Adorable Jesus. He treasures each soul as though it were the only one in existence, showing that His love is not distant or abstract, but deeply personal and intimate. Jesus' mercy knows no bounds, and His arms are always open to welcome us, regardless of our situations or feelings. As He longs to heal, pardon, and restore us in the Blessed Sacrament, we are never beyond the grasp of His Real Presence (cf. Luke 15:4-7; Matthew 18:12-14).

God has given each of us special abilities, missions, and gifts that further demonstrate how special each soul is. Our Adorable Jesus, as St. Teresa of Avila reminds us, calls us to be His hands, His feet, His voice on earth. “Christ has no body now but yours,” she says, inviting us to live out the unique vocation that glorifies Him. Jesus patiently waits for each of us to embrace this holy call, knowing that through our fidelity to His will, His divine plan unfolds perfectly. Every soul has a vital role in the great work of redemption, and our Lord desires nothing less than our cooperation in this sacred mission (cf. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Romans 12:4-8).

In His Eucharistic Presence, Christ loves us not as faceless beings, but as beloved children, known by name, cherished in our individuality. In the Eucharist, Jesus calls each of us into a profound relationship with Him, offering His infinite love and mercy. His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament waits for our response through prayer, adoration, and a life lived in His grace. Jesus reassures each of us with comforting words, reminding us not to be afraid, for He has redeemed us. He calls us personally, knowing us by name, and claims us as His own (cf. Isaiah 43:1; John 10:3).

Prayer

O Adorable Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, help us to recognize the unique purpose You have for our souls. May we respond to Your call with faith and love, consoling Your heart through prayer, adoration, and lives of grace. Draw us ever closer to Your Real Presence.

Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist, intercede for us.
