JOURNEYING TOWARDS OUR ETERNAL HOME

Divine Appeal Reflection  - 103

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 103: "I suffer the pain of seeing souls falling into perdition each and every minute. So many innocent human souls are already in perdition and are on the way to perdition."

Our spiritual journey is significantly impacted by our Blessed Mother, especially in the hour of our death, her maternal intercession is a source of great mercy and protection. A potent tool against evil and a profound manner to ask for her intercession is the Holy Rosary. Every Hail Mary is a request for her help, directing and shielding us from all spiritual attacks. We beg in the Hail Mary, "Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death." She will always be our mother, watching over us, especially in our last moments, thanks to this invocation. There's no doubt that as we pass from this life to the next, our Heavenly Mother, who draws us nearer to Jesus, will be there to console and lead us.

Offering prayers to the dying is among the most selfless things we can do. Every morning and evening, we should offer prayers for those who will die during the day and night. By assisting souls in finding serenity and peace with God before their eternal departure, these prayers may be a source of saving grace. We take part in Jesus' redeeming work by setting aside time each day to pray for the dying. Our prayers can make a significant difference, providing comfort and hope to those facing their final moments. This act of mercy is a powerful way to love our neighbors, ensuring they receive the grace necessary for a holy death.

God has paired us with guardian angels who will be there for us at all times to lead and watch over us. They are especially important at the hour of our death, offering comfort and leading us toward the light of Christ. Invoking our guardian angel's presence daily strengthens our spiritual life. As we can seek their assistance in remaining true to God's holy will, cultivating a good relationship with our guardian angel is important. They will be present to provide comfort and assurance, guiding us securely to our eternal home, at the hour of our death. We need to live each day to the fullest and show our love for God and neighbor by all that we do, in addition to these spiritual disciplines. Let us make our everyday encounters into chances for kindness and grace by taking on the love of Christ. As we reflect God's love on others, every moment becomes an opportunity to pull them from perdition and toward Him.

In His infinite mercy, Jesus provided a powerful prayer through Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist. This prayer is a beacon of hope, designed to draw souls away from the brink of perdition. By praying it daily, we align ourselves with Jesus' mission of salvation, becoming instruments of His grace and mercy. This prayer is a lifeline for countless souls, offering them a chance for redemption and eternal life.

The Prayer of the Last Hours of Our Life

Ever present and merciful Jesus, I approach you with a humble heart to recommend the last hours of our life to you. That hour, oh Jesus, when we shall have lost the use of our senses and our souls shall be in agony struggling and feeling the sorrow of death; that very moment when our souls will have to separate from our human bodies and the world, have mercy on us Jesus. Pardon us and receive the last moment of our death. Yes, Jesus, it is you who came that we may have life in full.  AMEN.
