OBTAINING GRACE FOR SOULS

Divine Appeal Reflection - 82

Today, consider in Divine Appeal 82: "My love for mankind is so great that I am consumed with desire to help all but what a pain for Me to see many lost. Many need someone to obtain grace."

Our Adorable Jesus reveals the maximum intensity of His love for humanity and His irresistible urge to give grace to all souls. Prayer is an essential element that helps us to pray for other souls' conversion, healing, and sanctification, emphasizing the idea that the prayers of souls on earth and in heaven may influence someone’s spiritual condition. The notions of sacrifice and penance, including fasting and almsgiving, are equated with one's efforts to share in Christ's saving work and aid the salvation of souls. Through the receiving of the sacraments, the Eucharist in particular serves as a means of grace not only for oneself but also for others. There exists power in the sacrifice of Christ through the practice of offering Mass intentions to specific people or intentions. The devotion to Our Lady and the heavenly saints is very helpful in receiving graces because they are powerful intercessors to Our Adorable Jesus. Works of charity and mercy done out of love for God and humanity towards neighbors are a means of receiving grace for the souls, implying the transforming ability of God's grace that brings salvation.

Sr. Anna Ali of the Most Holy Eucharist showed what it meant to live a life devoted to sharing God's gift with others by seeking grace for souls. She adopted a hermit lifestyle and practiced self-offering for the salvation of souls, along with meditation and prayer. A life of unshakable dedication and humility was inspired by Sr. Anna's deep relationship with Christ in the Eucharist. She gave selflessly of her sufferings for the needs of the world and the Church, despite her own bodily afflictions. Many found comfort and spiritual sustenance in her company as they sought her advice and intercession. Countless souls were inspired to become closer to Christ by Sr. Anna's selfless devotion to God's will and her deep faith in His providence, made her a potent conduit of grace. Her life remains a testament to the transformative power of prayer, sacrifice, and love in bringing about spiritual renewal and salvation.

May Sr. Anna Ali's intercession inspire and guide us. May her deep union with Christ, sacrificial offerings, and unwavering trust in God serve as a beacon of hope. In our need, let us seek her prayers, confident that she intercedes for us. Through her, may we grow in prayer, sacrifice, and love, becoming channels of God's grace to other souls.
